Kobe Bryant, ex estrella de la NBA, murió en un accidente de helicóptero cerca de Los Ángeles. Lo acompañaban cuatro personas más que también fallecieron.
La noticia del accidente fue dada a conocer TMZ. El ex jugador de Lakers tenía 41 años y su última temporada como profesional fue en la campaña 2015-2016.
De acuerdo a los primeros reportes el accidente ocurrió a las 10:00 horas (12:00 tiempo de México), cuando el helicóptero cayó sobre Las Virgenes Road, así confirmó la policía.
Hasta el momento no se han dado a conocer las causas del accidente, pero de acuerdo al sitio TMZ, sería la falta de visibilidad uno de los primeros problemas que tuvo la aeronave.
Bryant fue uno de los más destacados jugadores en la historia de la NBA. Ganó cinco anillos de campeón de la NBA (2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, 2010), además fue elegido en 18 ocasiones al All-Star Game. El título de MVP de la liga lo ganó en el 2006.
Justo este sábado, Lebron James lo superó como tercer máximo anotador de la NBA. Por encima de ellos están Kareem Abdul-Jabbar y Karl Malone. Se esperaba que en las próximas semanas, justo antes del Juego de las Estrellas, Bryant fuera elegido al Salón de la Fama.
